Choosing a college can be a very big and difficult decision. That is why we want to encourage you to come visit us before you make that decision. We have a great campus along with some great students and staff that are willing to host and show you around Providence. A visit will allow you to get the “Providence Experience” and will help determine if we are a good fit for you. Prospective students will be allowed to stay overnight and eat in the Providence cafeteria. Parents are more than welcome to join prospective students on the visit, but overnight accommodations will not be made for parents. We have a link with a list of local hotels that are within a few miles of Providence.
Providence currently offers a visit program called Providence Premier Weekends. During the “Premier Weekends” students will get a chance to hang out with Providence students as well as other prospective students. A typical schedule for Premier weekends goes as follows:
Arrive Thursday night/Friday morning
9:00 – Devotions and Introductions with President Jim Den Ouden
9:25 – Attend a class
10:50 – Chapel
11:35 – Lunch in the Dining Hall with Providence students and faculty.
12:15 - Tour the campus
12:40 - Financial Aid Presentation
1:05 - Student life presentation
1:30 – Closing questions and answers with Admissions staff
Friday night: Hang out with Providence students and stay overnight in the dorms.
Saturday – Drive down to Huntington Beach for Lunch
The Providence Premier Weekend dates for the 2008-2009 school year are:
- October 10-11
- October 24-25
- November 7-8
- November 21-22
- January 23-24
- February 13-14
- March 20-21
- April 3-4
If the Premier Weekends don’t work out for you we are more than willing to have you come at your convenience for an individual visit. Students are encouraged to give a few days notice to allow the admissions staff to prepare the best possible visit.
