Instructions for filling out the Providence Christian College Federal Financial Aid application
- Go to the Providence Christian College Federal Financial Aid application link
- You will be greeted by a welcome page; the first thing you need to do is Register – it will guide you through the Name & Account Set Up Process. Setting up your password, user name, etc.
- After setting up your account go to the Student Interview Center.
Note: If something is missing you will be prompted by questions in red lettering to change or correct this information If you cannot finish the interview you may log out and resume the interview at a later time. Just click on the STudent Interview Center and log back in. Your information will be saved so that you can begin where you left off.
- Page 1- This first page will Welcome you and ask for an Acknowledgement – you will need to check this box. The next question will be about your FAFSA – check yes if you have completed it. If you have not completed it you will need to do so in order to continue with the VFAO. NEXT
- Page 2 – Fill in Profile – answer the questions that are on the screen. NEXT
- Page 3 – Contact Information – fill in the requested information. NEXT
- Page 4 – Parents Information – fill in the requested information for Mother & Father. NEXT
- Page 5 – References – add any references and their information. NEXT

- Page 6 – Prior Schools – fill in any appropriate answer. NEXT
- Page 7 – FAFSA Year – Click the 2010-2011 school year. NEXT
- Page 8 – Terms & Attendance – Program of Study – Click Bachelors Degree. For Terms check mark which semesters you will be attending and if it is full time or part time (to be considered full time you must be taking 12 credits or more). Make sure you click both Fall and Spring for the entire school year. NEXT
- Page 9 – Financial Aid and Enrollment – answer the questions listed. NEXT
- Page 10 – Residence Costs – this screen will only appear if you listed yourself as living “On Campus”. Those who listed “Off Campus” or “With Parents” will not have this screen appear.
- Page 11 – Scholarships & Other Assistance – This is for listing all of the scholarships, grants, and work study that you have received from PCC. You can reference your estimated award letter that you received previously to enter them in. Note: If you were awarded student employment you need to check mark that box. If you want student employment and did not receive it do not check that box because you were not awarded it. Also if you received any outside scholarship please check the Other box and enter the total amount received. (If you received more than one scholarship you can add them together.). NEXT
- Page 12 – Financial Responsibility – Please read carefully and check mark at the bottom that you understand. You will need to check this even if you do not receive any loans. NEXT
- Page 13 – Detailed Financial Plan – This is an estimate of what you may be eligible for. This only takes into account what Federal Aid you may be eligible for, it does not consider the PCC aid that you may receive. Again it is just an estimate based on the information that you provided.
- Page 14 – Processing Option – Click on what you are interested in – grants and loans, grants only or loans only. Request Loans – you can enter a certain amount or just check mark the box to see what the maximum you can qualify for. Master Promissory Note – if you want to receive any federal loans you will need to check mark this box. Sign your Student Loan Promissory Note – click on the Federal Direct Student Loan Program link which will bring you to the website which will have instructions for completing the loan promissory note. - Page 15 – Repayment Estimates – This information compares interest rates and loan amounts to so you know what to expected regarding repayment of the loans you take out. NEXT
- Page 16 – Digital Signature – Read, enter your password and click the “Submit Interview for Processing” button to sign your interview.
- You have now completed your VFAO interview. You will be contacted if additional information is needed.
This information will be used to help us determine what federal aid programs you are eligible for along with the PCC aid you receive.
