Resident Life is a group of staff and students committed to the growth and encouragement of students living and learning at Providence. While we deal with necessary policy enforcement and campus maintenance, we consider our primary roles to be those of educators, spiritual counselors, and community builders.
As educators, we aim to connect with faculty for the sake of student success and to encourage critical thinking beyond the classroom. As spiritual counselors we approach individuals and the community in an intentional way for the sake of assessing where they are at socially and spiritually to encourage personal and community growth. As community builders we attempt not only to create a peaceful living environment, but also to encourage a community in which students are encouraged to explore and implement their Christian faith in relationship to each other and the world.
