3. Appreciated assets such as stock or partial interest in land
These transactions are a bit more involved but have some great tax benefits for donors who can gift assets with a low initial cost that have appreciated greatly. You may be able to take a tax deduction for a significant amount of the gift and at the same time avoid capital gains on the difference in appreciated value. Please contact our director to initiate a gift of appreciated assets.
4. In-Kind Gift
From time to time as needs arise, Providence will advertise for in-kind gifts such as art, vehicles, and books. Each of these items is handled on a case by case basis and only when Providence has agreed to accept the item.
5. Gifts from estates or wills
You may include Providence in your will or estate plan. You may get more information on how this can be done by calling our office.
