Jack Hoekstra joined the staff of Providence Christian College in July of 2004 as director of development. Hoekstra noted that it has been exciting to see how God has raised up partners who support the college faithfully both with prayers and financial gifts.
Jack has been involved in non-profit fundraising for the past eighteen years. His last position before joining Providence was raising support for the efforts of the American Red Cross in Michigan. Previously Hoekstra had worked in the development department of Kuyper College (Reformed Bible College) for ten years.
Hoekstra was born and lived for the first thirty-five years of his life in Grant Park, Illinois, a town of about 600 people just 40 miles south of Chicago. He attended Dordt College after graduating from Illiana Christian H. S. in Lansing, Illinois. Jack finished his undergraduate degree in finance from Olivet Nazarene University while running his own retail business. In 1989, Jack and his wife Lynn moved to Michigan and lived there until moving to California the summer of 2004.
Jack and his wife Lynn have been married for 33 years. Jack enjoys travel, fishing, gardening, history and training his dog, Cappuccino.
