Dawn Dirksen is the director of operations for Providence Christian College. She is responsible directly to President Den Ouden for the physical and business operations of the college. “I am thrilled to have been joined by many other staff members and we truly are a ‘family in Christ’ who are fully committed to the vision that is Providence Christian College,” she says.
Mrs. Dirksen holds the distinction of being the very first Providence employee, hired as an administrative assistant by the Board of Directors in 2003 and charged with establishing administrative offices for the developing college. As the college grew her responsibilities grew as well and she was given her current title.
Born and raised in Southern California, Mrs. Dirksen can appreciate all that it has to offer. She attended Coleman College in La Mesa, California and Long Beach State in Long Beach, California receiving a B.S. degree in computer information science with an emphasis in business administration. Prior to working for Providence she worked part-time and focused on raising her three children. She feels blessed to have a wonderful, supportive husband, Mark, who is also her best friend. They have three children: Danielle, Christian and Rebekah, who keep them very busy. |
