Alicia Silva

Administrative Clerk

After over 10 years as a stay-at-home mom, Alicia Silva has returned to the workplace as the part-time administrative clerk in the operations department. The opportunity came along in truly providential fashion just at the time she was considering a return to work. Prior to assuming mommy duties including frequent readings of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, she held diverse positions in city government, chamber of commerce, and magazine work which prepared her for the varied demands of a small college environment.

Alicia and her husband, Ed, have been married for 20 years and have three children: Madeleine, Thomas, and Ethan. She and Ed began to learn the Reformed doctrines of grace through the “The White Horse Inn” radio program and joined Ontario URC over 10 years ago.

Alicia is excited to participate in the growth of a young liberal arts college—something she highly values as the product of a Christian liberal arts education herself. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Westmont College. She is also thankful to be working in a Christian workplace that values her family commitments and is flexible in scheduling. Though quite busy with family activities (school, ballet, church, sports), Alicia still manages to spend more time than she should reading and enjoys getting to know people over a “cuppa” tea.
