Overview:
The Bible is God’s special revelation of Himself and of His desires for His church. Sola Scriptura is one of the key doctrines of the Protestant Reformation. Within the Reformed community the Bible has always been central, on the pulpit in front of church, in the worship service itself, and as the final authority for all faith, thought, and practice. John Calvin described the Bible as divine spectacles through which we view and understand general revelation. In that way, the Bible helps us understand the other parts of the college’s curriculum. It is a light for our pathway, thoroughly equipping us for every good work (Psalm 119:105; 2nd Timothy 3:15-17).
A major in biblical and theological studies equips one to:
teach biblical studies, Christian doctrine, and church history in schools, local communities, and around the world. It is also helpful for pre-seminary preparation.
