Academic Support Center

The Academic Support Center (ASC) is a place where students can come together and help each other grow academically.  The ASC runs the following programs:

  • Food for Thought - Evening study sessions on Wednesday and Friday.
  • Test preparation, helps the sophomore students prepare for the CBEST.
  • Present students with handouts on study skills, time management, taking notes, and reading in class.
  • Offers talks or events on academic subjests, such as choosing a major or a discussion that is directly related to a certain major.
  • Offers a service where students can email their papers and get feedback.
  • Provisional students are given a mentor to help keep them accountable while they are on provisional status.  The mentor is lined up through the ASC and will meet with the provisional student once a week.
